Family Sign

offer two kinds of Family Sign training.

NDCS Family Sign Language CurriculumNational Deaf Children's Society Family Sign Language Curriculum

The Family Sign Language Curriculum was developed by NDCS in 2005 as part of a project funded by the Government.  Unlike traditional BSL courses, which are based around signs for adults, this resource is specifically aimed at families of deaf children who want to use BSL.  It teaches the signs and phrases needed for stories, playing make-believe games as well as the tools for practical communication about food, sleeping and nappy changing, for example.

Are you a parent wanting to improve your communication with your deaf child?

Do you have a group of families of deaf children and they want to learn to sign?
